What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a slow, deliberate practice that focuses on lengthening and stretching the connective tissues of the body. Poses are held for several minutes at a time to allow for deep stretching, and to facilitate energetic flow (Qi) throughout the body.
How is Yin Yoga Different?
Unlike other Yang yoga practices that tend to be more rigorous and strength/endurance based, (Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga) Yin yoga emphasizes stretching and opening. Yin yoga is for practitioners of any skill level. It is easily modified to fit your individual needs so that you get the most out of your practice.
